Cody the Pony Visit
Hi mamas,
Bringing all of our horse curriculum to life for our learners with visits from Cody the pony!
Students enjoyed putting all of their horse learning to work by being scientists, studying Cody’s behavior & body language, as well as observing how he was using his keen senses to interact with all of us.
Students also loved all the hands-on learning with Cody...From learning how to pick a horse’s feet, properly brush, & groom a horse, as well as learning all of the tack and how to saddle a horse!!

1st Grade Cody the Pony Visit
Hi mamas,
Listen in to hear our 1st grade friends learn about a horse’s 5 senses with Cody the pony!
From learning what horses love to snack on which is apples and carrots, to understanding how they use their ears to listen, our students were fully engaged every step of the way!
We explored how horses can hear sounds and vibrations from up to TWO miles away, and even learned about their blind spots and how they stay safe as prey animals living in herds!

K-1st Grade Cody the Pony Visit
Hi mamas,
Listen in to hear our K-1st grade friends explore a horse’s amazing vision with Cody the pony!
In discovering a horse’s third eyelid that helps protect their eyes, our students were so curious and engaged!
We also learned how horses use binocular vision, both eyes together, to focus on what’s in front of them, and monocular vision, one eye at a time, to see almost all the way around them! This helps them stay safe as prey animals.
Our students loved this hands-on pony lesson and getting up close with Cody!
