The Lemonade War Book Study

Hi mamas,

Through our study of The Lemonade War, our students transformed reading into a real-world business adventure while also learning through teamwork!

After diving into the story, students worked in teams to create their own lemonade businesses. Each group took on different roles as they developed business plans, designed advertisements, and created catchy slogans to attract customers.

As they brought their ideas to life, students strengthened their reading comprehension skills by making connections to the book while also applying math concepts through pricing, budgeting, and calculating profits.

The most meaningful lesson came when students chose to donate all proceeds from their lemonade sales to the Children's Blind Center. Through this experience, they learned that business can be about serving others and making a positive impact in the community.

Learning comes to life through hands-on experiences, teamwork, and opportunities to give back!

Hi mamas,

Our students squeezed every drop of learning out of The Lemonade War!

As they read the novel, students explored themes of entrepreneurship, problem-solving,  perseverance, and teamwork. To deepen their understanding of the story, they worked in groups to create their own lemonade stands inspired by the characters and events in the book.

Students practiced reading comprehension by analyzing the story and applying what they learned to real-life situations. They also sharpened their math skills as they planned budgets, calculated costs, and tracked sales throughout the project.

The sweetest reward was knowing their hard work would benefit the Children's Blind Center, allowing students to experience the joy of helping others through their efforts.

Learning is most meaningful when students can connect literature, academics, and service to the world around them!
