Chick Time!

Hi mamas,
It’s chick time! 🐣
Our little scientists have been hard at work, reading, writing, and learning in our life cycle of a chick STEM journals! 🥚🐣🐓
They’ve been adding water to our incubator to create the perfect temperature & humidity for our baby embryos and documenting the growth over the 21 day period. 🐣
Listen in to hear how chickens are able to turn off one hemisphere of their brain to sleep while the other hemisphere is awake with one eye open watching for predators! This scientific term is called “unihemispheric”! ❤️🐣

I started hatching baby chicks with my own kids 16 years ago, and year after year this just never gets old! 🐣

From the suspenseful 21 day calendar countdown 📆of the embryo growth, to the tiny first “pip”, and finally the hatching. We love watching nature do it’s thing! 🐣 ❤️
