Butterfly Life Cycle

Hi mamas,

Here in the schoolhouse, we trust God just like little caterpillars.

Students are observing every stage of metamorphosis—from caterpillars eating their way through the life cycle, to building their chrysalides, entering the pupa stage, and finally transforming into beautiful monarch butterflies.

With milkweed growing in our schoolhouse garden and butterflies developing in our habitat, these little learners are witnessing God’s creation come to life right before their eyes.

With our mini language lesson, students are learning how to say “hello” and “goodbye” to our butterflies in Spanish and French, creating a cross-curricular lesson filled with wonder and curiosity!

These magical moments in the garden bring all our learning to life!

Join us here at The Little Red Schoolhouse, Pre-K–8th grade, for lessons that last a lifetime!
